Vehicle Rental Agreement
Bookings include a driving and safety briefing, tidal information, map and colour coded daily suggested itinerary. A tyre pressure gauge and compressor come with every vehicle.
Rates are calendar day based with access to and from K’gari (Fraser Island) being tidally oriented. Tidal movements & beach conditions allow approximately 5/6 hours of beach travel per day (sometimes less, sometimes more), on pickup we help you work out an itinerary to get the most your of your trip. The best tides are when there is a low tide around the middle of the day.
Prices include GST, unlimited kilometres and basic liability coverage.
Liability Waiver options are also available (see below).
A $1,500 credit card security deposit applies for drivers 25 and over.
A $2,500 credit card security deposit applies for drivers 21-24.
Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and hold their open license (or equivalent). Drivers over the age of 75 are not covered by the insurance we provide.
Liability & Responsibility
Your booking includes
- CTP insurance
- $2000 Third Party Property Damage Risk Protection excess age 25+ ($2400 age 22-24 / $2650 age 21)
- $15000 Damage Liability Excess
Additional Options
- $40 per day reduces Damage Liability Excess from $15000 to $8000.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please Note! Our vehicles are not to be driven on the beach for two and a half hours either side of high tide. In some situations where there is a big sea running or very high tides this will be stretched out to three hours either side of high tide.
Tidal movements & beach conditions allow approximately 5/6 hours of beach travel per day (sometimes less, sometimes more). We do organise itineraries to ensure that you get the most out of your trip and get to see as much as possible depending on the time that you have and your accommodation location.
Pick up appointment times are organised around these tide times and it is extremely important that pick up times are adhered too. The Adventure Centre takes no responsibility if you are late for an appointment time and cannot travel on the beach due to the tides. We are happy to try to change your booking dates with at least 72hrs notice if we have availability.
Due to some areas of K’gari (Fraser Island) being extremely remote our vehicles are not permitted on the western beach of K’gari (Fraser Island) or north of Middle Rocks/Champagne Pools.
Our vehicles cannot be driven on the sand/beaches or sand tracks after dark.
Our vehicles are not to travel along the inland track to and from Hook Point unless there is an extreme weather occurrence and has been approved by The Adventure Centre operators.
Permitted Qld Parks camping sites include Beach Camping Zones 1-7, Wongai camping area, One Tree camping area, Cornwells camping area, Eli camping area, Central Station, Lake Boomanjin, Dundubara.
Our vehicles are for beach driving and must access and exit K’gari (Fraser Island) via Inskip Point using the Manta Ray Barge only (not via Hervey Bay).
Our vehicles are not permitted to transport animals.
